EMS Technologies and Outer Link to share aircraft tracking data

An agreement has been signed between EMS Aviation, a division of EMS Technologies, Inc., and OuterLink Corporation. The agreement calls for the companies to share aircraft tracking data, which will allow customers to take advantage of the significant improvements in mapping technologies without being dependent on a particular network or geographic operation. A wider choice in dispatch software will enhance customers' flexibility in selecting a tracking system based on specific mission requirements.

The OuterLink web-based Console provides operators with a detailed global satellite image map and seamless integration of mapping and communication tools. Air, ground and marine assets are easily managed through the Console features. Integration of the DTN Meterolgix(R) weather overlay adds to the Console set of safety tools.

EMS Aviation designs and manufactures in flight voice communication and data networking systems. These systems enable phones, email, Wi-Fi access points, video surveillance and passenger entertainment systems onboard private, military and commercial aircraft.
